Cam in, oil pan in, timing cover in, lifters and rocker arms in and adjusted (how about the cigar). Kuertz has a lead on an engine hoist. We need that so we can suspend the engine while installing the transmission. Cannot move forward without the tranny on. But in order for that to happen it has to come off the engine stand.
Leugers has this thing called a “fake Lake” so you can start your inboard on land. That will be smokey and very very loud. But that is a better alternative than going to the lake and striking out. Not that we will strike out but it is a huge time saver. Its getting cold here low of 40 Sunday morning (shit). Not stopping us but mid next week it will warm again. More conducive to boat stuff.
I have a few small parts to attach, but Keim and Kuertz have been the players. The belts and a few bolt ons are all that remain. Then the tranny.
Matsuzaka has disappeared. I am very lucky to have those guys. I would not have done it without them. And Tim Rovekamp is a true pro (with the cam bearings), its all in the tools as you know.
Peace.
