WELL, THE WAY THEY MAKE SHOWS IS, THEY MAKE ONE SHOW. THAT SHOW'S CALLED A PILOT. THEN THEY SHOW THAT SHOW TO THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE SHOWS, AND ON THE ST

Got hooked on HypeMachine so hard yesterday. This leads to some commentary to my current thoughts on technology. With the recent release of Apple's iPad, being an owner of a blog and new thoughts on digital music these days have lead me to new sources. I can see that I cannot escape the grips of the future. I have succumbed by creating a widget for my blog which is connected to my hypemachine account, which is updated everytime I use hypem, which is updated by fellow bloggers, which is endlessly updated. The recent influx of media into my world has lead my to not so much waste time on the internet but rather increase my knowledge of my peers on the web and their thoughts. People have their own constructs for time management. I get updates on the blogs I follow, mostly music sites, whose main objective is upload the mainstream and obscurities out there, and some artsy blogs too. So point being next time you are feeling like you are wasting time on the net, dont think that, well maybe if you are youtubeing cats in a box or something dumb, because our futures rely on us taking advantage of the, for now, free to roam internet. So lose shit out there cyber space.

The Big One XLIV

Uper Bowl 44 is now 7 seven hours away, here on the east coast, and I really could care less for the outcome. Football season becomes mundane after awhile, the week long debate about Dwight Freeney's ankle, Drew Brees and his off shot relationship with Payton Manning, the entire Manning family history with New Orleans and bold predictions by ESPN's analysts (former pros making empirical guesses) well someone has got to win. I think I am rolling with the pres this time and picking the Saints from Na-leans. I like when presidents pick the big games. Clinton famously picked the team from California to win the 1995 Super Bowl when the 49ers and the Chargers faced off and Reagan doing his thing. And who really cares about Jared from Subway pick this year or randoms on youtube? I am here for the grub...

the case of the number 1's

Congrats to the Gamecocks, the University of South Carolina, for knocking off number 1 UK Wildcats. Our boy Willy P was there and got to storm the court and party with Devan Downey, who is basically dirty. A former Bearcat too. The Gamecocks rely on the services of Downey nightly in the SEC. the man is 5'9 and can flat out ball. But the question is what is the issue with being number one nowadays? every team in college basketball has now been beaten at least one time, UK being the last to fall, and makes me think that maybe it is the nature of the game. I have to believe this because even when I play a pickup game there are a lot of variables that go into winning a game of ball, shot selection, teammate capabilities, mentality, the opposing team might be on fire, and dumb turnovers. I think that many times teams need to take a lose to bring a squad back to earth. there hasn't been a team in the last 30 some years to go undefeated. Larry Bird's 79 Indiana State Sycamore's lost to Magic Johnson's Spartties in the NCAA finals. what does this say about contemporary basketball teams? even NBA teams? is the competition that stiff is because the game has gone international is because ballers have lost a mental competitiveness? we see Lebron put a show on every night, sell millions of sneakers and gear, yeah he is unreal, but he hasn't won jack...not to mention the fact players having off court/field issues (Agent Zero guns and gambling tyraids). Yeah Wilt the Stilt claimed to rail over 20k women andDikembe Mutombo's tag line was "who wants to sex Mutombo?" upon entering a room, but they had a respect for the game.
I think this has something to say about our current times as a generation. For the most part people frankly don't give a fuck. Our generation is dominated by general low life's Edward Cullin, Paris Hilton, and Lil' Wayne. We hate going to classes we don't understand the world around them, as only seen through the television and facebook, we can't conceptualize hard work. the kids that do believe in hard work and look forward to a future after college are outcasts and misunderstood. I need to do some explaining at this point, as you have seen before on this blog, I raise up the likes of Mike Tyson Rasheed Wallace Charles Barkley and the Yankees, all of whom have had their fair share of controversy in the past, but they are self aware of what they are and can only be what they are. The world has the estranged ideals for humans with exceptional talents, to be the superhuman off the sports field as well, yet in the end we all do dumb shit.

PS. I hate the jersey pull

hi is this mr...stelan?

I am sure you dislike telemarketing phone calls as much as I do, but I recently had a pleasant experience. It came up as an unknown number on my blueberry and I would normally just ignore it, but with all these resumes I have been sending out these days, ya never know. so I reluctantly answered and the lady told me I won a sweepstakes to the bahamas and I was like come on give me a break here lady you are wasting my minutes, but I gave her an excited remark of "yes!"and she began laughing out loud, like really loud... ok then she wanted to throw in some free mags based on my interests.
What do you like to do in your free time?"
-"well besides trying to grow a beard.."
more laughter from the exuberant telemarketer
-"I like motorcycles and blogging and enjoy the occasional cigarette..."
"ok Mr Troy i am sending you blah blah blah for free for the next 6 months free>"
-right on
"you have been entered"
i had heard enough at this point and was in the middle of doing nothing so i hung up on my friend, where ever she was located probably rural florida, and felt dirty so i washed my hands and ate a cracker and drank a small glass of sweet tea...
I was out of my element for sure.

whats the deal?... my rant

this is a story that may not be able to be captured in words, but what the hell. I was on campus the other day an sat down to read before class and adjecent to me were two people, guy and girl. The guy was wearing a cannibal corpse tshirt, had a spare tire, weird ear piercings(like a bunch of small ones on the left ear and one big one tacky chrome hoop), poor mans wayfarers(from the dentist down the street) and fu man chu facial hair, maybe mid 30's. The girl was maybe twenty and had yellow teeth, with a spike bracelet, and pale. ok they were sitting kinda facing each other and he was telling a story about a ex girlfriend that would call him all the time and you shoulda seen this chick hanging and laughing, in a terrible little girl laugh, on every word fatso was saying. She began to say she had a similar experience and was interrupted by basketcase to compliment her on her rings on her hand. he then grabbed her hands and acted excited about the dumbest rings i have ever seen(she got them at a flee market). she also mentioned she had a spike dog collar at home with one inch spikes. great. well the next topic they began disscusing was the different types of fat that the girl sees while working at home depot, mind you i applied there and if she can work there i could run the damn place, but there was burger king fat, medication fat, lazy fat, and one more that i forget. i was was screaming inside the dude is a medicated fatso right in front of you. and you could tell he was getting uncomfortable but continued to play along. this was all happening at a relatively bust location on campus and i was unfortunate to sit 7 feet from the two blooks. i was spell-bound by the two and the nature of the conversation mixed with absurdness and how much they were fitting the stereo type of rejected person that listens to static-x on their cd player, loves anime and drives an old ford taurus.

man this made me think what the hell, these people are really waste of air. i hope they read this
